If you've attended previous Summits, you've no doubt detected a pattern in the venues we select: sunny and warm (in January), first-class amenities and excellent golf on-property. For 2009, those criteria take us to San Diego's idyllic Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort & Spa.

True to its name, this AAA Four Diamond resort is renowned for its golf—18 championship holes, 27 executive—and its spa, voted the number-one resort spa in North America by readers of Conde Nast Traveler in 2008. Amenities at the Rancho Bernardo are abundant and luxurious, thanks to a recently completed $25-million renovation. All 287 guest rooms and suites feature 42" flat-screen televisions, large workspaces, wireless Internet, custom furniture and private patios or balconies. Two tennis courts, three heated swimming pools, seven hydro-spas, a fitness center and five restaurants and lounges complete the experience.

SGS Discounted Rate

Summit delegates will receive the discounted rate of $239 per night (regularly $279). The discounted rate is applicable January 23-31, based on availability, for extended stays.

Airport Transportation / Driving / Parking

The Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Resort & Spa is centrally located 30 minutes north of San Diego International Airport (Lindbergh Field). Airport transfer options include taxis (about $75 one-way), the Super Shuttle ($35 per person, one-way) and the sedan service SIA ($75 one-way). To reserve SIA service, call 858.733.1588.
